Raelee Gold received a Bachelors of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Texas Tech University in 2015. She received her Masters of Music degree in Voice Performance and Pedagogy with Dual Emphasis in May of 2017 with distinction from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. She been teaching voice and piano lessons for 5 years in Texas and New Jersey. She has sung with Texas Tech Opera Theater as well as Westminster Opera theater. Her soprano solo career has also consisted of being the soloist in the Haydn Lord Nelson Mass, Poulenc’s Gloria, as well as the Mozart Requiem. She is currently singing professionally and teaching in the greater Tri-State area.
"I am a music instructor at House of Music who teaches guitar, piano, ukelule, and voice. I believe all students should learn how to read music no matter what instrument you are playing. I specialize in Classical Guitar and try to teach all my students how to finger pick. I allow students to decide what types of music they want to play in order to keep them engaged and motivated, while incorporating exercises, scales and select music to help them develop: control, flexibility, strength, coordination , dexterity and overall musicianship."
Colin Pilney studied music at Macalester College and has played in a number of orchestras and ensembles in Minnesota, Boston, and the New York area. His primary instrument is the violin, and he also teaches viola, cello, and piano (classical). He has been at the House of Music since 2005. Colin also holds a doctorate in Classics and teaches at TCNJ and NYU.
Ryan Galik is a student studying Music Education with a specialization in Saxophone at The College of New Jersey. He has been playing saxophone for six years and has been studying music in general for eleven years. He has experience on soprano, alto, tenor, and bari saxophones and has been in a multitude of ensembles in and out of school settings. He has valuable experience on piano and takes advantage of using that to aid instructional methods with his students.
Jess is a student studying Music Education at The College of New Jersey. Her primary instrument is the Flute. She has been playing for 10 years and also has experience on piccolo. She has participated in many ensembles, like the Eastern Winds Symphony Youth Band, Flute Choir, Wind Ensemble, and the TCNJ Pep Band. She is also the co-principal of the TCNJ Concert Band Flutes. She loves teaching and wants to share her passion for music with everyone she meets!
Paul Duritt has over 30 years experience as a private studio teacher. He also works in Mercer County area private and public schools instructing classes and lessons in instrumental, general, and vocal music. Along with teaching, Paul performs as a drummer and multi-percussionist with area bands and local musicians. He has a B. A. in Music from Trenton State College and State of New Jersey certification as a teacher of music.
Kylan Hillman began taking guitar lessons at House of Music at age 10 and has also studied guitar and singing with multiple instructors at The Princeton School of Rock. Kylan has sung and played guitar in many bands locally. On guitar Kylan gives students an understanding of basic theory with an emphasis on developing their ear and ability to write and be creative. In vocal lessons Kylan works with students on developing their range, projection and personality. He also emphasizes being able to emulate multiple styles of vocalization. Kylan teaches guitar and vocals at House of Music.
